Vicar's Travels

Picture
Took breakfast and many other meals in this dining room, in Sneha Deepam - there are three Fathers and six Sisters.  Fr. Xavier (r) is 93 and has been ordained for 63 years.  The other Fr. was ordained last Sunday - we were celebrating that occasion.  The Sisters have different responsibly, including the retreat center and a PreK -  12 school.  The principal of the school, Sr. Elizabeth, is at the far end of the table, center.

This is Thira, a young Muslim woman that I helped attend Nursing School.  She used to be a nurse's aid at the hospice and often the one to bring morning tea to my room upstairs.  She is now married, two kids (2 yrs and 4 yrs) and a good job at the local Government Medical College Hospital.
